Maximize your time at CSU by earning two degrees in as little as five years. Students working toward a BA in International Studies can begin coursework for a Master of Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) during their senior yearBy completing graduate coursework as an undergraduate, you can earn your master’s degree in just one year.

What is a Master of Public Policy and Administration?

The MPPA is a professional master’s degree that prepares studentfor leadership in government agencies, international organizations, and nonprofits. With the only international policy and management specialization in Colorado, MPPA graduates are prepared to lead locally, nationally, and globally. 

Eligibility to Apply 

  • Current International Studies major at CSU  
  • Minimum CSU GPA of 3.0 
  • Must have completed at least 75 credit hours 
  • Must intend to complete the MPPA degree at CSU 

BA + MPPA Program Pathway 

Undergraduate: Junior Year 

Undergraduate: Senior Year 

  • Apply for formal admission to Graduate School  
  • Complete up to 9 credits of MPPA coursework selected with advisor approval 
  • Earn your Bachelor of Arts in International Studies 

Graduate School Year 

  • Fall: 12 credits of graduate coursework 
  • Spring: 12 credits of graduate coursework 
  • Summer: 6 credits of internship and capstone 
  • Earn your Master of Public Policy and Administration
