International Studies majors are strongly encouraged to study abroad. The Education Abroad Office offers over 1000 international programs and opportunities. It also provides scholarships and financial assistance. The list below represents a shortlist of international programs that fit particularly well with the International Studies major, but it is far from comprehensive. Students should work with their academic advisor and the Education Abroad Office to select a program and discuss credit transfers.
An experience abroad sets you apart from your peers, enhances your studies,
and engages you as a citizen of the world.
By studying abroad, you gain skills in cross cultural communication, learn to think critically, and develop self-confidence, flexibility, and an appreciation of diversity – essential components of today’s global workplaces.
