The Global Studies concentration provides a broad-based, interdisciplinary perspective on contemporary global issues. This concentration combines courses in multiple world regions, themes, and disciplines to give you the tools to understand and address complex world problems.

Concentration Content

  • The International Studies core requirements 
  • At least three years of a foreign language - or two years of two languages 
  • One course in world history 
  • At least one course in all of the following subjects: anthropology and geography, political science, and economics 
  • Eight courses in the following topic areas: 
    • History and Politics 
    • Thought and Cultures 
    • Global Studies
